Anyone with half a brain knows the economy was much better with Clinton's housing boom. Clinton's goal was for Americans to have a piece of the pie to stimulate growth. Republicans are now taking all of the Clinton period growth back with inflation and bankruptcies. Go figure though, they are Republicans.

I do and so do many others. It's hard not to look back at Clinton's Administration without longing. Bush has divided this country and trashed our good name around the world, not to mention being totally incompetent in waging war. If Clinton were in office when 9/11 happened we might have actually stayed in Afghanistan full force and finished the job with Al Queda instead of relegating it to the back seat to attack a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and was not an imminent threat.

Of course it was. NOTHING OF SIGNIFICANT MAGNITUDE OCCURRED DURING HIS PRESIDENCY. What you need to consider is how would Clinton of handled the various crises and wars that have occurred since he left office. President Clinton said one time, it doesn't matter what party a person is in, if he runs for President, he does it with the intention of doing a good job and doing what is best for the country. With that in mind, I think his actions would have probably been similar to those of President Bush, given the same information to act upon.

Obviously this is the case...but this is no argument for Hillary or for Bill. 9-11 occurred after Clinton.
While I am not a George Bush fan....whoever is the next President is not going to be able to go back to a uneventful time...they are going to have to deal with the reality before them.

I do.... and college tuition was much cheaper too and there were more jobs as well.
I am suffering everyday to pay off my student loans after Bush cut federal funding for State sponsored universities 6 years ago. (BTW, my tuition went up 50% in just under 2 years!!!) It kinda makes me wish I were a few years older.

No my life changed for the better in 01 when Clinton left office and his clone Al Gore was not elected...I spent 8 years in the Army under Clinton and he did nothing for us...try having to decide weather to pay your car payment or buy your kids Christmas presents, all while working 70 hours a week...when Bush came in the first thing he did was give us several pay raises and gave us back many of the benefits Clinton took from us to use for his "Surplus"...I hate Clinton and his Bigfoot wife...I wouldn't pee in their mouths if their teeth were on fire...

In general...has YOUR life changed?
My taxes have gone down, and unemployment has dropped, and homeownership has increased DRASTICALLY! GDP, up, interest rate down. So, economically as a whole, we are one HELL of a lot better off.
We could debate the war all day, and you would get mixed emotions.
By the way, the building of terrorist activity during the 8 years that Clinton did nothing to combat it probably did not help the situation today.

Much better then.
All that garbage about taxes being lower, unemployment lower and income being up only whitewashes the fact that EVERYTHING IS MORE EXPENSIVE now.
Home foreclosures are UP. Disposable income is DOWN.
