The program that you are downloading will go onto your hard drive which is a larger capacity. The 512 MB is only your RAM which has nothing to do with storing things. RAM is for processing so your computer is faster. So you need to look how much space you have on your hard drive before you download a program.

The 512MB of memory refers to your computer's RAM. RAM is only temporary storage. Your computer uses it for things like opening a file or where your mouse cursor is. When you see something that refers to files size or program size it is referring to your hard drive space. Hard drives use MB just like RAM but have significantly more space (More like 500000MB and up) and are used to permanently store stuff. Usually hard drive space is measured in GB which are equal to approx 1024MB.
