Do you ever leave your laundry in the washing machine after it's been washed? For instance, do a load of laundry before work, and don't put it in the dryer until you get home? When the clothes sit there wet for a while, even just an hour sometimes, they will smell almost sour. Make sure you do your laundry when you have enough time to put it right in the dryer or on your clothesline, as long as it doesn't sit in a dark wet place all balled up.
Are you the type that likes to get the most out of each wash? Well, summertime is not the time for that. Wash your clothes, especially t-shirts, after every time you wear them.
If none of this helps, you might want to consider switching detergents to something more powerful; not necessarily with a stronger scent, but maybe with more bacteria fighting power to it.
Hope this helps!

I agree with washing them in baking soda and white vinegar-- cheap, natural and effective. Also, white vinegar works great for stain removal as well. I spray mixture of half vinegar/half water (I use and old window cleaner spray bottle) on the spot and wash it. Just check for the spot before you put it in the dryer.
If the odor seems permanant, I suggest that you soak your clothing in vinegar over night to help eliminate the smell.
Be cautious with bleach, while it's a good suggestion for mildew, it will ruin colored clothing, taking the color out.
As has been said, anti-perspirant and deodarant are effective.
Also, while I've never tried it, I'm guessing that spraying the clothes with vinegar and letting them air dry (especially in the sun) might be effective, as vinegar is an odor remover. Again, cheap and natural.
I've left clothing in the washer overnight, even a couple of days, as I forgot about it. Unfortunately, I had to rewash it, but that helped eliminate the smell and any problems with them.
I hope this helps.

when ever you do laundry put the fresh clothes under the ones that are in the closet that way the shirts etc get rotated. Get some mothballs to put into the closet. But to get rid of it imediate you will need to wash it . Leave the closet door ajar to have the air circluate. That's why i have closet doors with levers on it. Wash your clothes in good sopa and use a softener that you like. that will take care of this too . And a very good deodorant will help too .

If they've ever sat in the washer for an extended period of time, they might be mildewed and there won't be anything you can really do about it. If that is the case, every time they get wet that smell will come back. The best thing that you can do is buy yourself new clothes and pay very close attention when washing them. Unfortunately, once clothing is mildewed, it's lost.

First... when you wash your clothes, quickly put them into the dryer. Expecially in warmer climates, clothes can sour quickly and smell of mildew. A little bleach in the wash water will help stop some of the mold growing on your clothes if its not possible to quickly dry them.
Even if the clothes smell fine when you first put them on, the small amount of mold can quickly grow adding to the smell when you toss heat, humidity and body sweat into the mix.

Go to a doctor as you may have a medical condition that is causing the problem, especially if you shower at least once a day and don't wear the same shirt more than once before putting it in the laundry.

Put baking soda into the washer with the detergent and you can also use white vinegar instead of bleach that will harm your clothes and it works great for humid climates.

use anti- perspirant deodorant for the sweating that makes shirts stinky. also try a different detergent. make sure your clothes dry all the way before you put them away or wear them. moisture still left in clothes often create bad smells.
