Tell your mom or dad and have them answer the email. Do not under any circumstances give him ANY personal information. He may be a child molester but maybe not. I am suspicious because I think if he was on the up and up, he would involve your parents in the discussion and he would NOT have asked for your screenname. He is too pushy. And no you are not overreacting. Better to be safe than sorry.

In addition to telling your parent(s), I would ask him why he couldn't just answer on Y! answers like everyone else.

If you wanted an email penpal or IM buddy, you would have asked!

I'd also ask him what makes him think he's the resident expert on heroes!!??

As a long-time internet user, a woman, and a parent. Please do not give this person any information. Just in case. Disregard any more emails from him. Lots of psychos out there and lots of ways to do reverse type searches to find out who/where someone is/lives. A few years ago a girl was talking to me (we've become good friends) and she gave me as well as many people her phone number. I reverse looked it up and told her her address. Who knows how many people she gave her number to before me.

Trust your instinct. It's usually right. Since he continues to email you, even though you don't respond, he sounds way too interested in "helping" you with your project.

I think it's best to ignore him. He could be harmless, or he could be totally wacked! Don't even respond to his e-mails, and change your Yahoo Answers settings so that people can't e-mail you in the future.

Do Not respond to anymore of his e-mails. Do NOT give out anymore info. Tell your parents
right away and tell this guy, "Thanks for your help.
The project went well." Give him the impression you no longer wish to correspond with him. Then block his e-mail address. Good luck.
