Bettas do not smell. The only thing that will make your room smell is if you don't keep the water clean and your betta healthy. Use a filter to keep the water clean and remove any excess food your betta doesn't eat. Also keep a top on your cover because betta fish jump and you don't want any water spilling any places eventually causing bad odors.

No Betta's don't stink. Like the other posters have said only the water will smell if you do not do proper maintenance on the tank.

No, bettas do not stink. Perhaps if the tank was VERY dirty they would smell a little. But I have not known my betta tanks to ever have any smell.

Fish themselves don't have a smell unless they are dead. If you don't clean his home out once a week, then you may detect a slight funk. But otherwise, no they don't
