Love is life giving...art is a creationist endeavor! If I had to choose it would be an 'artistic lifestyle' (state of being...mind set...meditation..etc)

Love is everything positive (both deep and dark...light and heavenly)

Love is a state of mind, and it is an art to keep it going.

wow, it really depends on what state of mind and situation you are in to.

but the transition should be like this: it is a state where love is felt and sensed by the whole body and soul, then its an art - a way to woe or please or get the affection and love of the one you love, then its a state or two or more people(because there are, i think 5 or 7kinds of love - correct me if im wrong) loving one another, and then its an art to make the love survive if not last forever (if there ever is forever, of maybe atleast for a lifetime).

I would say both. You start feeling it....its a state of mind...Then keeping it for a long time its definetly an ART.....

I am in love for a guy for 3 years now and believe me....its an art to keep the flow!!!!

It is a balance of both.
Although people dont like to think of it as an art, it partly is. You have to know physically know how to love. You have to be able to woo someone.
But it is a state, because once the artform "stage" is complete, you have to follow through with the state of being in love. you see? you are in love (the state) after the art of wooing (the art) is through.

state

If you are referring simply to the word "love", then the answer is neither. Love is an emotion.

The "act of love" is an art.

"Being in love" is a state of mind.

Love is a state of being, but the expression of love is a artform. Read "The Art Of Loving" by Eric Fromm.

Love is neither a state or an art. It is a biogenic phenomenon. Love is a combination of chemicals that make us feel secure and compasionate. asking this question is like asking if the movements of a machine is art. if you answer that, then you'll have your answer. R.
