The night my dad passed away,I drove out north of town and the northern lights were this huge ocean of swirling green and blue. I sat out there all night.

I was a part of the TOC in the 3id and we were stationed at the Kuwait border pre-war, we were the only soldiers for miles and no civilians either. We heard a rumbling sound and it was getting louder and louder. Our CO told us to lock and load because our orders were not to make contact with anyone not even the locals. About 2000 meters out we saw an Iraqi national guard tank unit threatening to cross the border and we were severely out manned and gunned. Out of what appeared to be no where we quickly saw coming behind us a swarm of Apache and other aircraft move in you could hear the Iraqi's stop and do an about face. They (US) fired strafing shots but their is no doubt they could of annihilated them. Of course this became a daily routine until the war actually started but it was a glorious site.

My first trip to Paris a few years ago I saw the Eiffel Tower all lit up on a muggy summer night. For me that was an awesome sight (I had always wanted to visit Paris).
Seeing the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx in Egypt was also a truly awesome sight. You feel humbled by all of that history just sitting there in front of you.

Standing on a tiny island just south of Key West, Florida. My husband and I were the only two people in site. There were other tiny islands in view but nothing else to see but blue water and billowy clouds in every direction....it was amazing....like an Adam and Eve thing.

I was freaked out when on the way home from the cottage it, after it rained, we saw frogs everywhere! I mean they totally covered this long stretch of road in the country and I felt terrible because we had to drive to get home after waiting for like ever for them to go away and they didn't!

I was snorkeling off Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and a Manta-ray came up to check me out. It came with in about 6 feet of me and hung around for ten minutes.

A heavy rain in Arizona that caused every snake, scorpion, and tarantula to come up and sit in the road..seriously, it was crazy! You didn't want to drive, lest you crush the things.

That's pretty cool.
Have you ever been in an underground cave?
Or seen the sunset over a still lake in the fall?
Good times.
