You may feel awkward about seeing a dermatologist, especially if you’ve been told that acne is something you will eventually outgrow. To help you decide whether or not it’s time to consult a dermatologist, listed below are some statements. Do any apply to you?
1.My acne makes me shy.
2.I am embarrassed by my acne.
3.My outlook on life is less optimistic since I developed acne.
4.None of the over-the-counter products and/or remedies I’ve tried has worked.
5.I am beginning to see scars after acne lesions clear.
6.I have painful, pus-filled lesions (nodules) in addition to blackheads and whiteheads (comedones), and reddened spots on my skin.
7.I have dark skin, and a patch that is darker than my skin appears when an acne lesion clears.
Virtually every case of acne can be successfully resolved. Not only can dermatologists help resolve existing acne, they can also help prevent new lesions from forming and reduce your chance of developing disfiguring scars

w.e u do, dont pick ur face...i noe it might be tempting, but try ur best to keep ur hands as far as possible from ur face cus ur hands are dirty and it might infect ur skin and make the pimples worse.. also, avoid greasy foods..i noe it might sound dumb..but trust me it does make a difference..use a GENTLE acne cleanser twice or three times a day..night and day and dont put on any creams unless ur face feels really dry which in tht case is because ur cleanser was too strong..also try to exfoliate ur skin about twice a week..st.ives apricot scrub is really good but rough so try to mix it with ur cleanser..also try using natural skin products and mineral skin make-up..drink lots of water, exersice about 3 times a week for an hour..with no make-up on..try to only wear make-up when u really need it..ur skin should be clearing up in no time with maybe the occasional pimple once in a while...and if none of this works..then go see ur dermatologist and he/she might prescribe u some pills..but thts the last option... hope this helps! good luck!

I tried this stuff called acne treatment gel. I bought it from my Mary Kay rep and I love it. It's gentle enough for both teens and more mature people. If you'd like to try it, just contact a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant in your area. If you don't know how, just ask around or look it up on the web. Most people know at least one Mary Kay rep.

You do realize acne is an "age" thing? They do eventually go away.If it bothers you that much, ask your parents if they can take you to a dermatologist. Until then, drink lots and lots of water and keep your diet as "real" as you can, meaning cut out junk food and eat fresh food.

Those could be "cystic", and are harder to heal. They are deeper under the skin and usually hard, but never come to the surface much unless infected. I would go to the derm. doctor and ask for a cortisone shot in them. That's basically the only way to get one of those to go away.

go to the pharmacy and buy a cream called polysporin. its and anti-biotic cream and it kills the bactieria that causes pimples. put it on your whole face every night. within just a few days your pimples will be gone. but you gotta keep useing the cream or else they come back. if you can't find polysporin ask your pharmasist if they have any other anti-biotic cream.

Sometimes when you use to many face washers too often, you face thinks it needs to produce even more oil because you keep wiping it off with the face wash. Try doing it not so often.

You should go to the dermatologist. He/She can perscribe you medicine that will get rid of them. Or you can try pro-activ, but i dont reccomend it. Ive used pro-activ and my skin got immune to it or something and my pimples came back.
