Now that I've installed it, two drives exist: e: and d. I am currently using the e one, before I was using the d. I have deleted the startup option of accessing D (somehow I found how to do that in a tutorial, I think by using regedit) but now the D drive takes up most of the space- it takes up 71 gb, which only gives my e drive about 3 gb. I can access D from the my computer menu, but deleting files from it doesn't do anything to give more space to the e disk. Please help- how do I get back that space without any problems?

If you don't have access to Disk Management (right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management) to move space from D: to E:, then you will have to use fdisk to repartition the drive.

if you're only running an 80 gig drive you need to get another hard drive. XP takes up alot of space. Its also possible that the Dell restore disk put a hidden partition of DELL rescue software further eating away your disk space. Go get another HDD... they are very cheap now..
