I've thought of quite a few of them, but right now, before the caffiene kicks in, I can really only think of three of them:
--I've come up with, as in actually tried to blueprint once, an eight-stroke version of the internal combustion engine. Basically it works much like the six-stroke engine recently seen in last month's issue of _Popular Science_ magazine:
http://www.popsci.com/
The main difference with my design is that while strokes 1-4 run like a normal gasoline engine, strokes 5-8 are a whole separate "steam engine" type of stroke (vent a little air in, compress it, inject a strong solution of hydrogen peroxide past the platinum spark plug to get the power stroke, then decompress in the exhaust stroke).
The idea is not to get more horsepower but to make a *much* cleaner engine courtesy of the catalytic steam power stroke, and to get one that runs on only *half* the petrochemical fuel of a regular 4-stroke gasoline engine. As in, to make, for example, a 6-cylinder engine run on three cylinder's worth of fuel without the (NOx emissions) weirdness normally associated with lean-burn engines.
--Another idea is a bit of cuisine only a complete lunatic would eat. I call it "Thanksgiving dinner in a can." ^_^ Well, ok, two connected cans. The idea is to have things set up like the old LaChoy cans that were two connected cans, a big one on the bottom, the smaller one on top.
The big can on the bottom would contain something similar in nature to a "corned beef hash" mix of turkey meat and cubed, dried potatoes, perhaps with a bit of gravy mixed in. The smaller can on top would contain a bit of one of the *classic* Thanksgiving dinner sides, things like turkey stuffing, green-bean casserole, or a bit of gelled cranberry sauce.
I know, it sounds lame and totally trailer-parkish, but for single lonely people who don't know how to cook so well, it might give them an inexpensive way to actually *have* the holiday turkey dinner without breaking the bank or burning any food.
--And finally....I have always, *always* wanted to make a superhero suit. ^_^ *lol* You know, like in that *ancient* TV show "The Greatest American Hero", where you can just put the thing on like clothes and have "super-powers"?
And actually, I think some of the technology to do that is coming along nicely. Robotics scientists in Japan are doing all sorts of things with exo-skeletal technology....and peope Stateside have looked into auto-magnetic levitation.
The catch would be building in the body armor and power source for it all (not to mention the computational gear to control it all) without making this a huge, bulky *vehicle* you drive. I have some ideas in that regard but it would still be a challenge to make them work.
Hmm....I hope this helps. ^_^ Thanks for your time!

Eden, in accordance to Biblical concepts, develop into God's suitable place. whilst guy sinned it permit loss of life into the international, ie Eden. to ask if ALL technologies has made the international worse won't be able to be considered as perfect, as a extensive proportion of technologies is nice. for example, the internet has stronger communication, commerce and myriad different issues, yet is often considered responsible for the upward push in new child pornography and different issues. no longer each and every thing is undesirable, yet surely even good issues could properly be utilized for undesirable. i've got faith in a literal interpretation of the Bible, yet that must be see exegetically, it particularly is to declare in that is context. we gained't bypass returned to the backyard of eden, so we ought to constantly make the suitable of what we've. no person of their precise techniques might want technologies to end advancing, and as a result helping persons in in spite of way achieveable, even nevertheless it desires for use wisely. I welcome a time whilst there'll be peace and cohesion returned in this earth, whilst Christ reigns very suitable.
