How do you kindly tell someone that the wig they are wearing looks a terrible mess without being rude or hurting their feelings?

If this is a friend of yours, tell them the hard truth. They will appreciate that you are looking out for their looks. If it is just an acquaintence, say nothing...in that case its none of your business.
