You can, but you will need a separate network card for each computer. It would be a lot easier to get a router or a switch.

depends 2 ways.. 1 get a modem/router that supports all the machines. + an additional router pehaps (without the modem)

or have 1 gateway computer, and the rest connect to that via a router... you can use that method to block people visitng unwanted sites..

also if the modem/router doesn't have a firewall built in you can use the gateway machine as an additional firewall.

Yes you can just get a wireless card and it will be easy for you
