I have been on depo for 5 months and have been bleeding non-stop since my first shot....for my next shot i am thinking about asking the doctor about changing my method to the pill...is this a good idea. Is depo better than the pill?.......

Please do! You can do that. I went right to Kariva after my last depo shot and I'm fine.

The PILL is a lot better than depo, since depo has so many side affects (such as your bleeding nonstop).

Depo can cause problems. There should be no issues switching to the Pill. Make sure you see you doc before the next Depo shot date to ensure you are protected. I was on Depo for two year and had "issues". I switch to a hormonal IUD (the 5 year one). The IUD works great. No periods and no need to visit the doc every 3 months. Doctors can give IUDs without a full term pregnancy if you get a good GYN. The cost up front is about the cost of the Pill for a year.

YOUR BLEEDING?!! I didn't get one drop of blood for over a year and a half. I was on depo because I am a smoker. It was definately better for me. You might talk to the doctor and tell them what is going on.
