Thrift stores and consignment shops. I tend to not go to consignment shops as they're usually for-profit, where thrift stores are not. However, one is more likely to get "newer" trend/style clothes at a consignment shop. Yet, if one just has a few basic pants and skirt suits (navy, gray, black, maybe a brighter color), shirts, separates of blazers and pants, it's very easy mix things up. I used to try and do this when I was working and did it for church and dinners when I could still fit into my cltohes before my baby belly dictated otherwise.

However, my mother, who does buy office clothes on a regular basis (I'm a housewife; Kahaki shorts and a golf shirt or T in the summer is sufficient) finds good sale/markdown/clearance prices at Khol's and JC Penney and Sears.

Several States have stores specifically for women entering the office workforce. They are second hand clothes but you can get a whole wardrobe for work cheap, think of them as office only thrift stores.

A few Google searches should be able to find one in your area. If your having trouble try Boston and New York (I know they have then there) and they may have info on stores in other areas.

Good luck!

I think a good place, on line would be Loehman's. It's a discount shop that carries designer clothing at very discounted prices. Why buy cheap clothing that looks cheap when you can buy good clothing at low prices and look great.
Of course, I do believe that Delia's carries these kinds of things, along with jeans and they are quite cheap, and they seem to stand up quite well.
Also, when Nordstrom has it's sales they are wonderful, great clothing on great sale prices.
Also, Victorias Secret has real clothing that they put on sale and is worth looking at.

Try thrifting and consignment stores. Great bargains. Cheap prices so you can get more stuff. Ebay is also a good place to look.
