I have a white shirt with a coffee stain on it. How do you recommend getting rid of the stain safely?

I use Fels Naptha to get out really set in stains. It works on everything, and you don't have to worry about ruining the fabric with bleach. You can find it in the laundry detergent aisle. It is a bar soap, but my grandmother used to use it, then my mother told me about it, and now I am using it. It gets ALL stains out. Just dampen the spot with a little water, then rub some of the soap into the spot. Then take the fabric and rub it together until the spot disappears. Depending on how set in it is, you may have to keep doing it until it comes out. Coffee is not one of the hardest stains to remove, so you should have excellent luck.

Chlorine bleach on something that is not 100% cotton will leave you with a different stain... yellow. I would use instead a powdered color-safe bleach such as Biz or Clorox 2. Make a paste of the powder with a little water and work it in with a toothbrush or small brush like that, and let it sit about 10 minutes. Then launder as usual but add 3/4 c of the colorsafe bleach to the washwater along with your usual detergent.

spray 'n wash it (the spray stuff) and the wash it in cold water and it should come out. if it doesnt come out clean dont dry it because the stain will set and u wont be able to get it out. if washing it in a wahing machine doesnt work, use palmolive and rub it on the stain in a circular motion. and rinse. those always work 4 me with tough stains

Try a spray stain remover, or bleach the hell out of it. If that fails, dye the whole shirt coffee color.
