i am short of the required income level so i need to know if that extra income (child support) can be used

Not in the states, but we don't have "petitioners" here, so I assume you are from a different country.
You need to state things like your country when asking a legal question.
In the states, child support is just that--and not income, nor is the woman taxed on it.

You can use child support as added income when purchasing something. Child support is to be for children, such as household expense, clothing, and ect. But if you want to buy something on credit it can be used as income.

Absolutely, the beauty of child support is that you have a choice. You don't have to claim it as income if you don't want to, unless your talking bankruptcy or something like that.

No, that is not YOUR income. Child support is for the CHILD's needs not the parent's
