okay we are getting shorter, and unhealthier in the u.s.a. The news tells the american poeple and others tell the american people that we need to eat better. I believe that is true but is anyone helping to make it better? No! I went to the store yesturday and was getting meat and someother things and came to realize that all the healthy things are to much $ but the faty stuff isn't. I can realize why people buy the faty stuff instead of the healthy things. I just don't understand why people can complain to the U.S.A when the U.S.A isn't helping to make our world better. All they do is add more unhealthy places and don't show people how to eat healty. If we the american people have been eating faty food for so long and don't be shown how to eat healthy then they wont change there ways. Yes we have diets and workout plans....$$$$$ why can't we just help the people instead of making another problem for them which is money problems.

I've noticed those high prices as well. But you can still eat healthy without spending your life savings.
I'm always looking for good deals, and when they come along, I STOCK up, so it will last me a little while. Also buy a lot of store brand items, which are cheaper.

There are lots of free/low cost ways to learn how to shop and eat better.....you just have to know where to look.
Hospitals, social service organizations, clinics, libraries, and even the Y offer classes that can help.

I took a class at my local hospital about 4 years ago and the only thing it cost me was my time. I have been shopping "healthy" since then. We spend about $100 a week (give or take) for 4 people and buy good food, so it's not expensive if you know how.

The resources are there, but I think that a lot of people don't use them because they are too "busy". You can't depend on the government to regulate what you eat, people actually have to make the effort to do it themselves. We won't become a healthy nation unless people start doing things for themselves.

I understand completely. Our government spends so much money on aiding third-world countries, then have the right to ban fatty-acids from restaurants. The government needs to set aside funds for free educational programs, workshops and awareness on healthy dieting. When everything we do already costs enough money, there leaves no room to afford the supplies needed for healthy dieting. Instead of the government, governing the way Americans eat, they should help control healthy dieting habits by offering these free programs to all Americans.

Don't worry!
Have you seen Hillary's new promo?
She gives Bill a bowl of carrots and says:"I'm looking out for you!"
Vote Hillary and you will eat what SHE says you will eat!
NO! You have a brain. You have a choice!
Use them and keep encouraging others to use THEIRS!
When food producers see we want a truely healthy choices, the production of nutricious food will increase and the cost will come down.
Profit is a big factor in big business so the junk will always be cheaper., but in the long run, good nutririon is cheapest.

i didnt know we are getting shorter !!
i agree with u, but i just can't see how the government would be able to take money from their 3rd world country fund and set it aside for weight loss in america. it just doesn't make sense (at first glance, i mean) therefore i doubt a lot of ppl would support it
