My top pick is TEXAS: the friendliest people I've ever met, also very polite. Gorgeous women, great cities, nice and diverse scenery, very clean, mostly low crime, Houston Astros, still a relatively low cost of living. GOD BLESS TEXAS!

However, if I can't move to TX, that's where OK and GA come in.
-OK is appealing to me b/c of its low cost of living, quiet lifestyle, yet it's supposed to have beautiful, thriving cities. The lowest cost of living of these 4 states.
-GA simply b/c of ATL. Countless opportunities for arts, culture, nightlife, ALL w/o breaking the pocket book. Nice girls, too! GA does have a chronic shortage of water, however.

Kentucky is, well...the state doesn't want to grow or really modernize. Its schools and highways suck, and, from Paducah to Pikeville, the people are sour, impolite, stuck-up (Lexington and Georgetown are the worst.) I can't wait to leave!

I'll give KY props for this: breathtaking natural scenery. I'd rather be left to just look at pictures of it, though.

Two thumbs up on Texas. You have a breakdown in Texas somebody is going to stop and help you. More laid back and friendly. Like the song goes "People in Texas don't care if the sun doesn't shine." That is except when it comes to football. Another thing about Texas is Colleges at are affordable and local. University of Texas had satellite campus in almost cities. Every good sized town has a Community College. You get home you get out of those things and get in your Levis.

HOOK- UM HORNS!!!!!

But the best is the roads. Farm to market roads in Texas better that interstate highways in most states. One problem of out of state-rs is speed limits. In Texas when it says 70 miles a hour it means that is the minimum speed limit. You try driving 70 miles a hour and you are going to get run over.

Another good thing about Texas is suits are considered work clothes and Church clothes only.

TEXAS!!!!!!!!! I have been to all of the other states you mention and honestly Texas is the best. You can live in any type of community you'd like and the cost of living is very competitive. I live right outside of Houston so I have a calmer setting with the busy city 10 minutes away. I left Texas twice and lived in other states.... I will never do it again!!!!!

Juan Fran made some excellent points!

Texas, because of all the different cities in this state and each one is so neat and interesting. From Austin to Laredo, from Houston to Dallas and from San Antonio to El Paso, just great food, fun and people. God Bless Texas!

It all depends on what part of Texas to live..The weather is a factor too...Oklahoma has the most tornados, Kentucky too, Goergia can have severe weather too..We live in South Texas and is quite beautiful here in the countryside...I dont think I would want to live in Houston though..Alot of traffic, and crime is very high...Austin is quite nice along with the surrounding areas..But, anywhere you live there are advantages and disadvantages...Texas is nice though.

of course Texas is going to win b/c of ways massive this is. in my opinion, I hate Dallas. The highways are a maze for even the appropriate of map readers and this is frequently rush hour (or it sort of feels). Kentucky is a eye-catching state. have you ever no longer been to Louisville? very constructive. yet as quickly as I had to %, i might in all likelihood %. Georgia in simple terms for the climate and the quick distance to the coastline.
