I'm hearing impaired so sounds are silent to me. I need to know the words of sounds such as tick tock for my art project to show my silent world.

We set ours to a radio station ... when it's time to get up, it's very loud rock music!

I set my cellphone's alarm and it goes exactly like this:
Bzitt! Bzitt! (pause) Bzitt! Bzitt!
It continues to sound like this until I either make it STOP or put it on SNOOZE.
As an additional info: You can also set your alarm to play your favorite song or the available choices that went with the phone like the Nokia Tune but that it hard to describe to one who is hearing impaired. Anyway, good luck with your project. Glad to be able to help.

Some have a buzzing sound like a bee.
Some have a ringing sound like a telephone.
Some vibrate.

my alarm clock goes "BUZZZZZZ! BUZZZZZ!" really loudly so it feels like someone is drilling in my ear in the mornings.The one on my cell phone telling me I have 10 minutes until class goes "beepbeep....beep beep....beepbeep" in a high pitch.
