We need to clarify something here. Firstly, there is no such polymer clay called 'Sculpty'. It's Sculpey, which is just the brand name. Also, the other 'brand' is Fimo, not Femo. The Sculpey line of clays includes 'Premo', one of the strongest polymer clays on the market. SculpeyIII clay is similar in appearance to Premo but very brittle after baking. Since these clays come in so many colours you really don't have to paint them, unless you purchase just one colour. You would paint them with acrylic paint, after baking. If you purchase the bulk white Original Sculpey, please keep in mind that it was intended for children and school class rooms. It is not strong after baking and may result in disappointment.
