multiply by -3 to undo the big division:

(5/8)(x+4) = 6/5

divide by 5/8:

x + 4 = 48/25

subtract 4 as 100/25:

x = -52/25

First, multiply both sides of the equation by -3:

(5/8)*(x+4) = 6/5

Now, multiply each side by (5*8 / 5*8)

25(x+4) = 48

= 25x + 100 = 48

Subtract 100 from each side:

25x = -52

x = -2.08

Cross multiply and you get

25/8(x+4)=6
25/8x+25/2=6 distribute
25/8x=-13/2 subtract 25/2
x=-52/25 multiply both sides by 8/25

i hate questions like this... on the main question line it says "are you good at math?" so I'm thinking to myself... not really so perhaps they want to know literally if I am good at math , or not. So then I come here and see some math (which I AM NOT GOOD AT) and wasted a click and a few bytes traveling accross my cable modem.

So the answer to the questiona s I first perceived it is:
NO! I AM NOT! GOOD at MATH!!! :)
i hate it

I don't get what you are asking. The way that your equation is set up, it's confusing.
