Man is that tough. I had a man who worked with me years ago who had a BO problem. Nice, good worker, and clean on top of that, he just had BO.
We became great friends and I shared some embarrassing yet funny stories about myself with him. We talked about excercise a lot, he was a fitness buff. Eventually he mentioned having troubles finding a good deoderant. I was able to make a couple of suggestions...peroxide in the bath, cornstarch.
But really, this would not have worked if we hadn't become sincerely friendly. There's just no nice way to say "you stink" to a person you know only casually. So if you don't want to go that route, let the supervisor know. It IS their place to address issues like that.

well you don't want to come right out and say it, at least not at first ... tell her/him about a great perfume/cologne or deodorant ... give them some per or col for their b-day if it's coming up, etc. just leave little hints like that. if that doesn't work, then pull them aside and tell them as nicely as you can that they might want to put on some deodorant.

No, I'd mind my own business because there is no way to say that without being mean.
