I start on Sundays as well, but I usually take lo-ogesteral but this month I took lo ovral because my mail in pharmacy was not reliable to get my lo-ogesteral here in time....could taking this other pill type have an effect on delaying my period?

It could take a few pill packs before you are regulated.

It took me 3 days and I had a period for about 4 days. There's nothing like taking the pill to regulate your cycle & control the flow. I had a very light flow when I was taking the pill.

When taking the non hormone pills it should take 2-4 days before you get your period. I am a Sunday starter and I always get mine by Wednesday at the latest.

It's normal to get your period any time during the week off of active pills. Since you switched brands, you may have compromised your protection, so take a pregnancy test. Also, switching brands can cause you to be irregular and hormonal birth control pills can cause you to completely miss your period. If you miss two periods in a row, see your doctor.
