Any 1st/2nd grade teachers looping?

My daughter is going into first grade and her teacher will be doing a two year loop (so my daughter will have her for both first and second grade). My daughter is thrilled--please give me the pros and cons (if any) to this.........

Might be a good thing...First grade is a Pretty Big Deal, so knowing that you will see a familiar face for TWO years could be reassuring.
