Wow, a political system where only people who share your beliefs are allowed to participate. Isn't that how Cold War Russia was.

Seriously, the Republican's lost the majority because people wanted to see change. Given the very small Democrat majority and Bush's new found love of the veto, it's not likely anything will happen over the next 18 months. All of which means the Democrats won't be able to say "look how wonderful things are compared to 2 years ago".

What's going to be more important is that who ever wins the White House next year puts forth a concentrated effort to get things done on a bi-partisan basis. But fat chance of that happening.

I believe Ron Paul's idealism if elected can save the GOP from what its unfortunately become.

FROM THE HORSES MOUTH!
This is an excerpt from a guy in Texas that knows Ron Paul personally:

My association with Ron Paul comes from having volunteered a LOT of time in his Congressional campaigns from 1996, when he won a seat in Congress in a district adjacent to the one in Houston that he represented into the mid '80s (and was strongly opposed by the Republican Party establishment), thru probably the 2000 election. He can run much more limited campaigns these days because he has little opposition ... odd, don't you think, since he's winning while holding positions that other candidates claim that they can't win with.

While working in those campaigns and riding along on other trips throughout his very large district from time to time, I had plenty of chances to discuss issues with him and can state with absolute certainty that he lives and breathes the philosophy of freedom. He IS authentic. He did not run for office so he'd have a good paying and/or high profile job ... he ran so that he'd have a larger platform from which to articulate the message of individual liberty and limited govt. His Congressional votes are so tied to the Constitution that lobbyists don't invite him to lunch or contribute to his re-election.

The Republican party will gain seats in 08. And probably get a majority easily.

The American Citizen is sick and tired of being "the Unheard Constituency" in this country. It seems that the Democrats in office are more concerned with lining their pockets than doing what's best for this country and it's inhabitants.

The best thing that candidates can do right now is start paying attention to the people who will vote. They need to listen to what they're saying, otherwise, they won't get elected. We're starting to wake up to what's going on in Government and it's time for the politicians to wake up to the fact that if they don't do those things that their constituents want, they're going to lose their jobs. And I think they should lose those big, juicy benefits they will take with them, because they haven't done the jobs they were elected to do.

In business, if you don't do your job, you get fired. You lose your income and benefits. This is what needs to happen to those who are elected and do not protect this Country and it's Citizens.

Wow . . . what are you smoking? Obviously some bad stuff.

You clearly don't even know what a Marxist is, let alone a Fascist (i.e. Nazi) or a Stalinist. Those are all LEFT-WING ideologies, meaning they have a LOT more in common with American Dummo-crats and other assorted Lib-Tards, than they do with Conservatives. In fact they are polar opposites.

Grow a brain and get back to me.

I doubt it. I don't understand why you asked that if you were just going to call the republican party Nazis. Anyway, people aren't happy with the house and senate now. They elected democrats because they thought the war was going to be over a week after they got into power and they can't end the war. People are never happy with congress, it'll just keep changing back every few years.

Since the Democratically controlled House ans Senate are less popular than George Bush, It looks like a good time to establish a third party.
I hope it isn't Libertarian!

Unfortunately, the dumbasscrats will probably continue to gain seats, and ruin this great nation. The dipshitcrats are the reason we have such high debt, because they want to give all our money to anyone willing to sit on their asses and collect it, having more and more children so they can get more and more money, for free. All the while the hard working man/woman has to shell out more and more taxes to cover the cost.

The Democrats are the ones you should be talking about! Their approval rating in Congress is lower than the Presidents! The Democrats are the ones that lied to us to get elected and they haven't done a damn thing, but make things worse!

Wait wait wait I think you have your parties confused
Marxist and Stalinist (communist/socialists) have standards that the democrats follow
The Nazi part was a socialist party....

if you're gonna troll try a little harder & atleast try to make some relevant connection...
