No but I made my two little ones stand in the parking lot like cones when Tara was learning to parallel park. They kept flinching and I was yelling "Don't move". She's an excellent parallel parker by the way.

Actually, I did hit a car while learning to drive... I scraped up the side quarter panel pretty bad... my mother was not amused...

No, no one stood in my way.
My husband taught me to drive, while we were still dating. He thought it was hilarious that I was in my 40's and had never driven. He would push the seat all the way back...we're both very tall...and have me sit between his knees. He could reach out and help me, if I needed it. We practiced in a parking lot for weeks.

No, no one was standing...but there was this guy on a motorcycle who found out why he should stay on his own side of the road around student drivers! (Close - but no cigar!)
