The Cubic inches according to Ford Motor Co. is 183 Cubic inches or 2986cc's for the '93 Ford Taurus. It has about 145 Horse Power. If you have the '93 Ford Taurus SHO(Super High Output) 3.0 Liter it is still 183 Cubic inches(2986cc's) but is has 220 Horse Power. This is due to the fact that the SHO has a DOHC engine or Dual Overhead Cams as opposed to the regular Ford 3.0 Liter which is a Overhead Valve design. This is probably way more info than what you were looking for but, I hope it helps regardless. Thanks and have a good day.

Always right is probably one of those 'new thinkers' who does not care about TRADITIONAL American values anymore, Just ANOTHER reason America is becoming a THIRD WORLD NATION. People had better wake up, and smell the winds of change, or soon we will be forced to be using another language here in the U.S., and it will in all probability NOT be called the United States any more. Well, in answer to your question. multiply the 'liters' by 61, your answer of 183 is the cubic inch displacement. It is interesting to note, however, that using this formula, the 302, 305, and 307 engines all come to 5.0 liter engines, Therefore, the good old AMERICAN system SEEMS to be the most ACCURATE way of classifying engine size! Glad to give you a good old fashion AMERICAN answer.

A 3.0 L engine is roughly 3,000 cubic centimeters, and one cubic centimeter is roughly 0.061 cubic inches, so if you multiply 3,000 by 0.061 you get 183 cubic inches.
