It can be anywhere from immediate to weeks. Depends on the firm, its policies and purchasing department, and how critical the need is for the product being purchased.

Depends on the company, type of purchase and how efficiently the company is working. Could be an hour or a few days. It also depends if the purchase is determined to be a large one for the company or a small one. Some places may think that is a big order or some companies may think it's small potatoes and take their time. More information needed to fully answer.

I think that would mostly depend on the company and what the purchase was for (common or uncommon purchase). The purchase order, itself, shouldn't take more than a couple of days at the most (depending on the approval process). It could even be generated within minutes.
