No, not an urban legend. I dated a butcher and it's totally true. Butcher's do know how to handle their meat.

I use to date a butcher and he didn't know how to handle his meat. :) Now in the store he was fantastic in cutting it up and wrapping it.

ah yes.. i worked in the meat dept for 6 years..
married a meat cutter.. they don't like to be called 'butchers'
and he knew how to handle his meat .....
no butchering there!!!
