Ok so I'm a huge Yankees fan living in GA. I'm going to the Boston-Atlanta game tonight and sitting in the first row behind the Red Sox dugout. Does anyone have any dirt on any of the Red Sox players. I wanna heckle them all game long, but not with the same stuff they hear on every other road trip. Any ideas?

you might want to bring something to protect yourself because i'm pretty sure you'll be getting a beating....even the braves fans would be pissed to know you're a yankee fan.....even more so their seem to be about as many red sox fans at these games in atlanta as their are braves fans...(just like in arizona vs. the d-backs) so i'd just sit back and watch the game....because i doubt many red sox fans will hold back against you...and that'll be one less yankee fan...w/ all due respect....i'd abort your plan

Wow...that's mature...why don't you just root for your team instead of putting down a team you don't like...you are a Yankees fan going to a game that your team isn't playing to heckle the Red Sox and whiny Yankee fans always complain about Red Sox fans chant "Yankees Suck!" when the Yankees aren't in town (which by the way I have never even heard but maybe it's true). Sounds like some Yankee fans are hypocrites.

Update:
How did that work out for you? You must have said something great because they shut out the Braves two days in a row!

I used to work in professional baseball, and I have heard players tell stories of fans trying to heckle them...and every player that told stories...said they just tune those fans out. They said, every now and then one comes up with something that makes them laugh, but they do not get down, they do not get upset...they just let it go.

Not saying you shouldn't have fun...but personally, the guys that sit and heckle players all game, are more disruptive than funny. Especially if someone is trying to pay attention to the game.

PS - I am a huge Yankees fan too...and I am all for keeping the Sox down...but I doubt anything you come up with is going to "pull them down".

Ahh yes, you are representing well, the lowest common denominator in sports.
Someone so committed, not to a sport, but to a team so you can possibly disrupt them.

Here's a few, Giambi's was on steroids, Alex Rodriquez cheated on his wife and the team needs a payroll of $200 mil just to be at .500. Oh, but that's not against the Red Sox, silly me.

It's beyond me that you can support a team who simply has to compensate with all-stars for their lack of development and chemistry.

As I mentioned in another YA, if every team would spend $200 mil a year, you would see how truly crappy the NY Yankees are.

I suggest you see one of the Red Sox players before the game, go up to them in private and heckle away. Then we will hear from you again when your jaw sets.

Why waste time heckling a team that has only 1 once in almost 100 yrs? You can't argue baseball with someone who's not a YANKEES fan because none of them know what it's like to win so often.

You really can't win...the sox fans will just tell you to shut up because the yankees aren't playing

You should ask then how it felt to be 3 games down on the yankees in the 2004 ALCS.

Oops, my bad. I forgot the yankees had the biggest choke job in all of sports history.

Better make sure it's ok with your Mom or Dad to do all this yelling at the players..... because there is no way you are mature enough to go to the game by yourself.
