I personally love the look myself. And I listen to some gothic music among other genres. I would actually think a woman in her 40s who went with the goth look is more an individual than the teenage counterpart. I would think it's absolutely beautiful. You're free to do, listen to, and dress however you want. All the power to you, my friend! =)

Not a fan of the whole black wardrobe and over drawn on makeup idea. I'm sure some of the music can be catchy but I hope the lyrics are not too negative.
You didn't arrive into this world to please everybody else. Being drawn to goth stuff really isn't hurting anyone, is it? Doesn't matter what your age is. Who cares what some young teeny-bopper may think of it? Be you. You may find you like other things in the next decade. Who knows? It's your life process.

Babe don't act like you're 16. Its time to put away the goth look and look like a woman. Im not saying suits or fancy clothes. Jeans and blouse are fine. You can even wear a skirt and a blouse. My mom is 40 and thank god she doesnt dress like that. Hell listen to "goth" music or hard rock or whatever but dress like someone your age! Guys find this a huge turnoff unless you date someone of the same "species"

I personally do not like goth stuff. I think it would be kind of stange to see an older woman all decked out in goth, but who am I to judge. If it is what you like and what makes you happy then who cares what other people think. I know this awesome quote that says....... The people who matter don't mind and the people who mind don't matter.

Trust me, it doesnt look as good as you think. Gothic women in their 40's would look absolutely rediculous!!!!!!!!!
