Yes, literally.
Up until a few years ago, there was a section of road near my home that was never finished and it was known as "The Road To Nowhere". It was that way so long that the name showed up on official maps of the county.

YES!! Just outside of Redlick Mississippi there is a road that starts out as pavement, then goes to blacktop, then goes to dirt, then goes to nothing but woods. Talk about being lost in the middle of nowhere. All I wanted to do was find a shortcut and actually added 2 hours more to my trip to New Orleans. Don't trust Mississippi maps.
I gained a new understanding of the phrase, "You can't get there from here."

Made a wrong turn going to the beach and almost hit a barricade because the road wasn't completed. Talk about a close call!!

yes. me and a couple of other people just started driving, we wound up in kentucky, and we drove on this one road for three hours. when we got to the end of it, we were on the opposite side of the road from where we started three hours before
