I am in the process of selling my flat which is a leasehold property. As such, I need a Licence to 'allow' me to sell the flat, but the management company are with-holding it despite all of their queries being replied to by me and my solicitor. As they are being so unco-operative, I have lost a sale and am in danger of losing another, along with lots of money!! Does anyone know where I can report them and get some sort of compensation? My solicitor is no help!!

u need to go down there in person and demand ur license. if they are withholding it, it is more than likely that you owe some sort of money. go down there and resolve it in person instead of calling, this way it can get taken care of on the spot!

In NY i know the owner can not sell his own home. You would have to use a broker. how ever the person interested in renting or purchasing your property would be responsible for paying any and all brokers fee including closing cost.
