IMO love is the strongest thing of all in life. It has the ability to put you a million miles in the clouds and feel better than ever and it also has the ability to take you down to the same degree when it's gone. That's what sucks about love! But you can't have the good w/out the bad unfortunately. The good would not be as good without experiencing the pain in comparison (if that makes sense).

Basically love is everything and love sucks. :)

I think its because we let our defense down to let us feel as were treated and when you have that amazing feeling of love it is incredible, Love hurts all the time we put up with soooo much because we love someone. I love my daughter so much that it does hurt, I constantly worry and it is the most wonderful feeling in the whole world but honestly I think that our own love hurts for very differnt reasons

Love hurt because you put your self out on a limb and then bang the limb breaks. Love is just like a broken bone, it hurts for a while but over time it does repair itself.

Love doesn't hurt. The absence of mutual love hurts. Loving someone is a euphoric experience, but when they don't reciprocate you ache to get back what you are giving.

Because you put your heart into it and get use to it and then it could be taken away just as fast as as you fall in love!! But in some cases it can last forever!!! It doesn't always hurt!!

You get your hopes up a little to much. It feels really good then boom back to your same old life, which isn't bad because you come back to reality and you need it for learning experiences. The older you get the less it will hurt its like you get used to it.

Because in order to truly love someone or let someone truly love us, we must become vulnerable. We have to be open and naked (not just physically) and let them see and know everything about us, or at least a good deal of stuff we would prefer to hide.
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors with love. Remember; if you are unwilling to risk the pain, you won't get the good stuff either.

because there will be times where everyone gets hurt by their lover..... they just do things either by mistake or purposely .... if love hurts really bad its not meant to be. dont force ur self to go through the hurt .

If you do it right, it doesn't. If it hurts, either you, or the person you love, is messing it up. Either that or you are actually dealing with LOSS of love, which is different than love.

its such an odd feeling isn't it? what i would imagine drowning to be like. scary huh? i think its the reason why true love lasts forever. if you can survive the agony with someone and not bail on each other, then you can last forever. but its so hard not to protect yourself. once you put your guard up, that's when the trouble starts.
