You know what... I wasn't going to answer, but I feel I need to put my 2 cents in. I never really liked kids before until I had one myself. No, I didn't HATE them, but they kind of got on my nerves sometimes and was glad to have them go home. But, I had a baby and that all changed! She means the world to me and I wouldn't trade her for anything. I love teaching her things and I love to watch her learn and grow. It amazes me every single day how beautiful and wonderful she is and I sometimes can't believe that she is MINE. When it comes to being annoying... guess what? She is MY child and I can discipline her myself. Whereas, when I'm around another child, when they get annoying, I can't do that. It is up to their parents. So, it is a really different feeling when they are your own!

Oh, and beware.... usually the ones that say they are never having kids end up with one (or more) anyways!

I thought that same exact thing when I was younger that I would never have kids but things in your life could change you never know I'm an uncle so I know how noisy and messy they are but despit that I hope to be a father and have 4 kids someday there's something about being needed knowing that you're the only one that can protect them through the good times and the bad and watching them grow it's so special

Sorry, can't agree with you. Kids are great! They have such a simple beautiful outlook on life. They're funny as hell with the things they come up with. I've had some of my best laughs with our 3 yr old! The inconvenience they cause is short-lived and the joy they give is incomparable to anything else in life. I'm sure that as your grow up and stop thinking the world revolves around you, you'll realize that children are where it's at, they're our future. They are the innocence that we all wish we still had. Lighten up!

Well, I am not trying to be mean, but with your personality, you shouldn't have kids. Yes they get dirty. Yes, they are expensive. Yes, they make messes. They are kids. You were a kid once. You were expensive, messy, and probably sticky, too. Kids are a blessing and they take a lot out of you. But knowing how much they look up to you and love you makes every moment special!!! I have a 5 year old son, and he means the world to me. He looks up to me and I am his world. I hope someday you snap out of this anti-kid thing so you can enjoy these feelings that I enjoy every single day.

I have 2...a 9 yr old daughter and a 16 month old son...My son was an accident but i got my tubes tied after him!!! I am done!!! I want my life back sooner than later. Yes, i love my kids, they are my world but they are a lot of work!!! My kids are very well behaved and they know i will not put up with crap or their will be punishment. My 16 month old son even understands. My brother who is 40 feels the same way you do, he says i have my nieces and nephews, that's enough!! so i understand how you feel and it's your prerogative.

OMG I like kids I don't agree now I am only 12 right now but I plan on having kids after I am married there is nothing wrong with them now if someone teaches them the wrong way to grow up and they aren't very polite or something because of how there parents teached them well that is not there fault and I think it is rude that you don't like them....that is my opinion...you were a kid once...I wonder what people thought of you.

While I can understand your frustration with children on occasion to say you hate kids is like saying you hate black people, or women, or Jewish people. It is a blanketed statement of bias.

Not all kids are alike and, while you may decide not to have any yourself, I suggest that this would be a decision that someday you will probably regret. Then again, perhaps not.

In either case, making statements like that is going to make you a lot of enemies.

I LOVE kids. It's husbands like this one that you should hate:
A man and his wife, now in their 60's, were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. On their special day, a good fairy came to them and said that because they had been so good each one of them could have one wish.

The wife wished for a trip around the world with her husband. Whoosh! Immediately she had airline/cruise tickets in her hands.

The man wished for a female companion 30 years younger... Whoosh ... Immediately, he turned ninety!

I wouldn't trade my daughter for the world, just because you had a bad incident with one kid doesn't mean your kid is going to be like that. Obviously the parents of that child do not discipline him and he showed you what a bad kid is like. Don't give up hope, I told him myself I would never have kids and made it to 28.......lol
