Do You Want Lower Taxes? The US is the third lowest taxed country of the industrialized world. BUT, what If I told you that your taxes could be lowered, our schools, roads, bridges, first responders, emts, police, and fire departments could all receive more funding and in addition to all of that we could finance research and development for renewable, clean energy sources and break our dependence on oil, coal and nuclear power just by ending Corporate Subsidies(also known as corporate "welfare")?

How dare you wage class warfare .

Yes, it's true. If the government taxed equitably there would be no need for income tax on individuals, social security would be solvent forever, universal health care would be a reality, everyone could go to college, etc etc.

I've never heard a cogent argument in favor of corporate welfare.

Thanks for the site reference and the insight.
Corporations don't matter; they're fantasies and they don't exist.
Individual persons as citizens do exist and do matter. They have life-good, welfare.
If we stop empowering de facto nobility-class massively-overpaid tyrants with stolen money and illicit powers, we can self-evidently begin to reclaim individual rights under regulations and end any tyranny which has been allowed or even encouraged by public-interest governors.

Right on. End corporate welfare; what they have is stolen from individual citizens if it was not earned by merit..
What they have stolen was given to them by unwise political warpers of our constitution.
So we can take it back legally simply by reinstating the taxes on the undeserving and unethical wealthiest classes of corporate and buraeucratic s-ocalled executives; and the second necessary law is simple:
"No one can be paid more than 10 times what the highest paid executive or worker (depending on industry) gets until he's earned it". An end to skimming off the top and reinstatement of the taxes and we are on our way toward having a country again--instead of a de fact pseudo-religious kingdom; one in which corporate, media, financial institutional and bureaucratic non-leaders are paid from 11 to 600 times what others are paid--in order to produce a stagnant economy, an immoral society and unethical non-marketplace of privilege, discrimination and thiggsih incapacity.
Isn't this why farmers, actors, teachers and so many others have been marching and threatening clas-actions for the past forty years?
Let us work for legal chancge NOW. If it isn't already too late,
it's very late indeed.

Robert David M said "corporations don't matter; they're fantasies and they don't exist".

erm...they aren't fantasies and the most definitely do exist.

Governmental subsidies to corporations should definitely end, even to such industries as railroads and airlines. If a corporation cannot survive then they should file for bankruptcy, not get bailed out at the taxpayer's expense.

That alone wouldn't solve all our problems, but it would free some money for other uses or to trim the Federal Budget.
