there are plenty of triple plays...including 13 ever unassisted triple plays...but i don't think that 1 player...has gone 0-3 in one inning...simply for the mere fact that i don't think a team has batted around 3 times in an inning.....meaning that at the very least 27 players got to bat....and in that i would bet that no player would go 0-3....or not get into a double play or something

as for the triple play...it happens all the time...the last unassisted triple play happened for the rockies against the braves earlier this season..turned by troy tulowitzki

Actually it would require 19 plate appearances, minimum... which obviously would mean it's a big-scoring inning.

The record for PA in one inning is three, which has happened less than 20 times since 1900. It's possible one of the players made all three outs, but since that would put the first out very near the beginning of the big inning, that cuts down the chances.

I don't believe it has ever happened, unless you're referring to someone who hits into a triple play, or a double play in one at bat, and makes a single out in the same inning.

It's rare enough that someone would be able to BAT 3 times in one inning, much less make 3 outs in the same inning.

I am not sure but it would be nice to know. If the player led off the inning he would be the 19th batter in the inning!

Not that I know of, but obviously many have made two outs in the same inning.

Do you mean like he was put out in 3 separate at-bats, or he hit into a triple play? Can you elaborate?

i dont think it has ever happened in the mlb..... that would mean 27 players in one inning were up. They change pitchers when one starts doing bad so i really dont think it will ever happen.

There have been countless triple plays over the years. The rare one is the unassisted triple play, you don't see those too often.

So the answer is yes.
