I just watched the video for the remake of 'any dream will do' by Lea Mead & I sang along to every word, it the first ever single that I brought when Jason Donovan sang it & it brought back many happy memories. What was the first single you ever brought?

MC Hammer... Can't touch this.

I know it's pathetic, but remember I was only 8 years old.

The first album I bought wasn't a single. I never really got into the singles until later on. But I specifically remember the first album I ever bought.

KISS - Gene Simmons Face Album. I saved my allowance up for weeks to get it. My mom thought I was satanic for getting it. lol

The next album I bought was Elvis Presley - GI Blues.

I'm still very eclectic to this day.

The Sixteens by The Sweet.

I bought it even before I had a record player, so must have been in the early 70's.

Still love it to this day. Brings back alot of good memories.

"I'd like to teach the world to sing" by THE NEW SEEKERS, back in 1971 ish. It was a 7" vinyl. I knew all the words because it was the only record I had and I used to play it over and over.

You know maybe I am showing my age, but I haven't ever purchased a "single". I remember my first CD album which was Stone Temple Pilots.

think it was either Falco - Rock me Amadeus, or Eloise by the Damned. Those were the days!

rand1812 - good to see a mention of the Captain!

Well, it wasn't the one I bought, but my mum bought me my first record (I'm showing my age now) when I was four years old.

It was "I just called to say I love you" by Stevie Wonder.

It was a nine inch single and I still have it and it still plays.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - I won't back down,

I loved that song and I've still got it, but no means of playing it anymore
