I do not have regular periods, and what you are describing sounds like what I go through. BUT, since you are used to regular periods, I can see how this would be cause for concern. It looks like you are not pregnant, but I would wait a couple more weeks and then test again.
If it's negative again, then I would wait and see if you get your period. You don't have to worry about a one missed period, but three in a row...and you need to see your doctor, whether your pregnant or not.
The site below has great info on reasons for missed periods!

It sounds like implantation bleeding or threatened miscarriage-look up both on the internet from a trusted site such as ivillage.com My girlfriend was almost 5 months before her test came back positive. Of course this could also be a 'false pregnancy' or numerous other things. I am pregnant with #6 (after 1 still birth and 3 miscarriages). Pregnancy is scary the whole time lol....hope it goes whatever way you want it. I would seriously consider going to the doctor any way it turns out just to make sure everything is ok.

i went without a period for 2 weeks once and i was on the pill.. It was due to stress. Are you in a good relationship or are you under major stress in any way in your life?. Give it a week and do another pregnancy test. If you smoke or are on the pill, stop now just in case. Don;t stress it will make it all worse; test again in a week if you still get a negative reading then be safe you are not pregnant.

After that if you still feel 'strange', see a doctor :-)

good luck :-)

i was 3 weeks late last month and am so far 6 days late this month! both times i have taken tests that have showed up negative!

the best thing to do is to take a test in a few days if you still don't come on. if its still negative you could go to the drto see if they can find out what is causing it.

other than that you could just sit out the wait as i am doing AGAIN!! i know how you feel but good luck xxxxx

Sounds to me like your pregnant. I had the exact same brownish bleeding before I found out I was pregnant. I would wait a week or try a better brand of pregnancy test. Good luck and I hope everything turns out the way you want it to.

Although waiting one more weeks feels like a lifetime, I'm afraid that is all you can do. To be honest, pregnancies tests are really good, especially as it has been two weeks since you were due to come on. I don't think you are pregnant, but do another test in a week to put your mind at rest.

I think you should listen to the advice you've already gotten...
if i could wave a magic wand and tell u if u were prego or not i would, just so you wouldn't post anything else like this in the pregnancy answers section!!!!!!!
lots of girls don't get their periods for months at a time, relax until you have a reason to freak out =-D

I really don't think you are. Sometimes these things happen and the more you worry about it the more convinced you will become. It has happened to a friend of mine and her period came the following month as usual. Try not to worry about it, unless of course you want to be pregnant. Good Luck.

Well who knows I never been pregnant my self, but who knows, go and see your doctor or search in the internet the symtoms some one pregnant would have the first days, then you realize if you pregnant or not, all I can say is that if your breast are sore then the chances of being pregnant mite be positive....

There are really only 2 ways to know for sure. Call your OB/GYN...or wait and see if in 8 or 9 months a baby comes out :)
