No, not really. Friends support you and want the best for you. They are happy when you are happy. Sad when you are sad. They celebrate your accomplishments. They pick you up when you fall. Jealousy is a human characteristic that everyone is capable of having. True friendship should over-power it.

I don't know where the idea that jealousy is supposed to be a bad thing. The one's who act on their jealousy in a bad way have issues, but I find that jealousy is actually a normal protective type of emotion. When it does is show up it tells me that there was someone who crossed a line that made someone else uncomfortable.
Now some people, they might have those lines drawn around someone when there is no relationship that would inspire the welcoming of the protective response. I suppose that those lines, once noticed, might have to be communicated between the two persons in order to make it clear that they are appropriate or inappropriate.
Real friends can talk about those things.

No it is not. Real friends are not jealous but instead they are happy for u. And if theyre really jealous sometimes they will stab u in the back to get what u got or bring u down.

since you guys are supposed to be friend sit the person down try talking to him/ her to find out why he is jeoulous maybe you not giving him attension, or you hanging out with other people and he is feeling let out
