Because they are usually in shape and it accents their muscles! Besides in the comics, they had to make them stand out from a "normal person" so they had to give them costumes.

I would say it makes it easier for them to get places faster. If they had on regular pants they could get caught in or on things. Also it makes them more aerodynamic with tights on, if you were trying to fly through the air or jump through the air pants would flap in the wind and slow you down. I had never really thought of this until you asked, but that is what i think.

Because back in the day it wasn't fashionable workout gear. Now, you don't know if the person on the exer-bike at the health club is Spiderman just chilling.

Baggy heavy clothes hinder them from flying. Tights make them more aerodynamic.
