I have almost 60 year old newspaper clippings and some whole pages that I found in my dad's stuff. Should I have them laminated - will that stop the deterioration (browning & falling apart)? Or are there archival scrapbook pages or something that would be better? Please help!

I have not seen archival pages sold anywhere I shop. I have many really old clippings pressed between the plastic pages of scrapbooks. Air and humidity are the worst enemies.

I would laminate them, but then they wouldn't be in their original state.Call a library and ask them what protection there is other then lamination, they would know..thanks for 2.

i does no longer even attempt. i could touch the newspaper, get into their micro fische, and have a replica made onto huge-unfold paper. Newsprint does not final 6 months. no longer properly worth even attempting
