Generally, when we are in this position, we have a past reputation (real or perceived) for lying. So here we are, in the present, telling the truth, but to no avail. The people important to us lack enough trust to believe us.
The important thing is to remember that time is our ally. Even though no one believes us now, if we keep telling the truth, then we will build our reputation for trustworthiness.
One important note, if this is a situation where we are physically at risk, then time is not our friend. In that instance, keep telling everyone in authority until we find someone that believes us.
Our health and well-being are more important than other people's lack of trust.
Just remember, keep telling the truth, even if no one believes you. Truth and lies are like gold and wood, respectively. If you burn them both, only the gold will remain; likewise, when the fighting is over and the dust settles, only the truth will remain.

If you are known for honesty and integrity, no matter how bad a situation looks, then you'll be given the benefit of the doubt until some irrefutable proof can be obtained.

Some people are so stupid that they tell petty, unnecessary lies, and do small, deceptive acts, so that at the end of the day, even when they are being honest, no one believes them.

yes and it sucks. The more you try to convince them the more they think it's a big story.

Rare events DO occur and unlikely situations happen all the time. Just wait until they have a weird story they want YOU to believe. Then the shoe is on the other foot.

What goes around comes around.

As i seem an excellent bit youthful than i'm, particularly in low lights, I have been given those nasty looks from the human beings around me like i develop right into a deceiving S.O.B. Very awkward 2nd.

I never have, but I have seen it happen. When ones reputation is such that everything they say have been proving wrong, it gets to the point that anything they say is not believed.

And then there is the case when truth is spoken against someone that people can not bring themselves to believe what they are hearing.

so many times....and especially with my parents(they never believed us when i was telling them the truth, and i wasn't a problematic kid, i was quite calm) so me and my sis started to lie our parents and wow they started to believe us. Altho that doesn't mean that u should start ling but base your story on the situation and on the ppl that are involved.
