Are they saying sleep is highly overrated whilst alive???

That's what they're saying but I tend to disagree. I LOVE sleep. Especially when I'm in that happy relaxed in between state when I know I'm not asleep but not awake. There's nowhere I'd rather be sometimes. It's a cool feeling, plus I love dreaming and you can't do that when you're gone.

I always say that and to me it means I have so much to do even though I'm tired, oh I guess I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead.
No sleep isn't highly overrated, far from it.

I think that is what they are saying. But I rather sleep when I am alive then sleep when I am dead.

When I was 18, maybe. But I've found that I'll sleep plenty before that. The mind and body insist upon it.

No it just means that I have lots of stuff to do and having to sleep is wasting what little time I have left to do it in.

it comes from soliders in combat. are squad leader used to say it all the time. we would go days with out it. and if someone complained thats what he told them.
his other saying was "men! the beating will continue till moral improves!"

I don't agree. People need to sleep or they'll kill themselves. Then they WILL sleep forever.
