I don't THINK it's staged, I KNOW it's staged. There are some people who go on there that have real topics, but the $$ is the paternity shows. And sometimes the ones you think are the fake ones are real because they crawl out from under the double wide they've been living in. It's a bunch of kids straight out of college trying to come up with outrageous ideas for Maury. Of course there are people who will call in and pretend to have problems, and they do screen them because they don't want it to interrupt the taping. There's a bunch of non-disclosure agreements they, the staff and the audience sign. I think there's a limit of how long that lasts though. Which is why you'll see them sit through the entire show when they want to leave. Prob. that all expenses paid will come out of their pocket if they go.
It's also about a paid for flight and trip to NYC.

I know its staged my guy friend went on their to confess to his girlfriend that he had been cheating with her cousin. It was all fake! they were able to use a different name if they like received free airfare and two free nights in the city and 500.00 dollars. i use to like Maury back in the day but its garbage now and the worse part it is so obvious. Maury be like "Gary you are not the father!" then the girl runs off the stage and the guy is on stage yelling "yeah, yeah! i told her that baby didn't look nothing like me!" That's so routine its boring. At least on springer they throw some blows! I rather see ya get cha a** whipped!
Springer! Springer!

What? It staged! I love the Maury show, it seems realistic to me. Plus not everyone reacts the same way , and the people there are ugly (you know ordinary/plain). So that means that they hired or recruit ugly people to go on national t.v. act like sluts, players or whatever and fake the whole situation (pregnancy, crying, and other emotion) for a 500 dollars and free trip to new york. That seems too outrageous to believe, but hey I'm bias.

Yes, I do. For some weird reason, people like that kind of stuff. As far as I'm concerned, they could take it off the air. I used to watch it but it has become a Springer clone....

OF Course it is staged, at first it wasn't , but it gets boring, so they have ti jazz it up for the rating and public interest, they I hear get a fee for it also..I MY SELF HAVE SEEN THE SAME PEOPLE ON BOTH SHOWS AT DIFFERENT TIMES, IN DIFFERENT PROBLEMS..
