This is the greatest nation on Earth. We have so much. We are truly blessed. There, I am a Liberal and I said something positive about our great nation. I didn't even lie, I truly feel this way About the United States of America.

America is a great country founded by liberals like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Every now and then Conservatives have gotten control and started to screw things up. Like when the Coolidge and Hoover administrations caused the Great Depression. Then a liberal like FDR comes along and sets things right again. The liberal John F. Kennedy gave us the Civil Rights Act which ended the conservative discrimination and segregation. Liberal Clinton gave us the greatest period of peacetime prosperity in our history. The most positive thing I can say about our great Nation is that we are taking it back in 2008!

Are you implying that liberals cannot say anything positive about America?

That sword cuts in both directions. Neo-religocons cant say anything positive about Democrats or even half of the Republicans! They hate movies, tv, music and books. They think all science is fraudulent. They hate free speech. They hate Mexico and Canada and anyone living in the Middle East.

Absolute blind devotion to an ideology that practices exclusion and derision of others to bolster ones own sense of self worth because they are otherwise morally bankrupt isn't love for the country, its something else entirely.

I love everything about this country with the exception of the current elected officials.
Isnt it nice to walk down the street and not have to worry about snipers, road side bombs, suicide bombers and neighborhood militias? I feel blessed everyday and thank God I was born here.

I wait with baited breath for their answers.
I think their answers will be close to, "Yahoo! Not too long, and we'll be a Socialist government! It's what I have always wanted! Free-beeies, I don't have to work for!"

PS LOL! Whether m d knows it or not, he is a Republican. If we can help him to understand things, Patriot, we might get him to register as the Republican he is, instead of the Democrat, he isn't! LMAO!

m d, I just have to tell you this. Everything you typed, are Republican values, not Democratic. The Democrats don't want the farmer to have a vote. Democrats call the farming states, Red States, which means that the farmers you speak of, vote Republican. Democrats want the Electoral votes cut-off. If America cut off the Electoral votes, only Liberals and Democrats living in cities, like New York, Dallas, Washington DC, would get the vote, every time. More Liberals and Democrats populate these large cities, than Conservatives. If America stopped electoral voting, no farmer's vote will count. The President will have been elected by the first votes. More people crowd a city, than a whole state of farmers. There are more people living in New York city, than the whole states of Nebraska, and Kansas combined. Shall we always let the Liberals choose our President, and our leaders, or should we let ALL the people have a voice? I wouldn't blame the farmers, if we did stop electoral colleges, for refusing to grow our food. Potatoes, rice, wheat, carrots, broccoli, onions, garlic, tomatoes, strawberries, grapes, peaches, cows, pigs, chickens, pecans, (you name it we grow it), since the farmers would not be represented in a vote for our President, or Representatives. Go Farmers! We NEED and love you!
I didn't give you thumbs-down, m d. I gave you thumbs-up, and will give you a best answer, once you find out about yourself, and realize you're a REPUBLICAN! LOL! I am so happy to accept you on our team. Right on, Mate!

What makes you think liberals don't say anything positive about this country? If we criticize the government, that doesn't mean we hate America. It means we hate the American government's policies. Learn the difference.

Liberals can say positive things about this country; but their actions tells a different story.

The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the best example of a Democracy when abided.

The only negative statements I have ever made are regarding the government, and the government is NOT the United States of America.

The United States of America is the land and the citizens. And this "government" is a poor representative of both.

I love this country, and I will never leave it. We will be the greatest country in the world again, once we remove from office the conniving thieves on BOTH sides of the aisle trying to sell us off to the highest bidder.

A great nation with a diverse people, I love my country; but the government has become corrupt and only works for corporate elitists.

I'm no liberal, but I'll lay money not one of them can. At least not with this adminstration. Have it be Clinton in the 'Glory Years', and that's a different story! He could rename it the White Whorehouse and change his name to Stalin with tactics to match, and they'd say it was the greatest Nation in the world! (But then, Stalin could be their hero--who knows?)
