the man at the back of the room stood up, unfurling himself to a great height, his complexion was pale and he wore a formal black suit. His eyes were still hooded and he suddenly started looking about the room, something odd had happened, he’d missed something, something important he knew and he began to get agitated. After scanning the room again, the feeling was gone. A sly smile betrayed his face and instead he fixed his eyes upon a girl within the group that was left. He stepped towards the girl like she was his prey and pulled her by the arm towards the doorway leaving hurriedly. He had his own desires to fill.

This is the character who's name i'm stuck on.

Ok, it would be easier with the lead characters name to add context so I am just going to throw some suggestions in:

Dicloneus(reputedly the enemy of St. George)

Lucien ( A nice name that suggests complexity and people will pick up on the "Luc" as a connection to darkness)

Cypher ( Complex, this has been used for dark characters before I believe)

Errix or (Air-ricks) I just made that up

Phydon (Fy-don) Made up.

Sylvester (can be abbreviated to "Sly")

Horus (powerful name, has been overused for bad guys)

Arachanis(Arak-arnis) Implys connection to arachnids some people associate with fear and intelligence)

These are just some off the cuff suggestions, I hope this helps with your block.

I am a writer also and in the horror genre. I thin the name Raymond is sinister in a simple yet powerful way. It evokes a sense of innocense yet evil. If you go with a simplier first name and an evil sinister last name it might make more of an impact.
