Birthday party phase - usually when you're a child and everyone you know is having a birthday party.
Graduation phase - all your friends, or your brothers friends, or your kids are graduating from high school or collage.
Wedding phase - your friends, your kids or your friends kids are all getting married.
Baby shower phase - all of your friends, or your friends kids are having babies.
Funeral stage - everyone you know seems to be dying.
Please elaborate. We were in the funeral stage last year. My father in law, my husbands uncle, my former next-door neighbor and my step father all died within 4 months of each other. This summer we are in the wedding stage -- 3 neighbors, a second cousin and my niece are all getting married within the next 2 months.

Sadly, the Funeral Stage. On Monday one of my students passed away. She was only 15. We lost another of our kids to brain cancer this past fall. I've known these children since they were 5 years old. Of the 21 in their kindergarten class, 19 are now left. And we are all so sad. This is a stage I want to end HERE and NOW. I can't watch any more of my kids die. God probably has a reason, but I don't know what it is.

Right now I am in between phases:
Wedding phase: the unmarried couples we know are starting to get married, we already have four weddings during the rest of this year and two for 2008.
Baby shower phase: Of all our friends who were already married four are expecting and three have given birth already.
You forgot to mention the I just moved back to my Country phase...

Graduation phase and Funeral phase... that's why I'm depressed now, yet I still have to cope with school.
Most of my friends are seniors, so they've graduated, and it makes me lonely. This year would be the last year I'm schooling too.
Meanwhile, many of my relatives or neighbors are dying. Even my friend's mum...
