Practice Positive mental dynamic attitude. Rationalize then yourself with a self question: "I don't have any evidence that I cannot relax. So why should I get bored?"
Do a self-talk: "By the grace of God, my mind, you relax; my eyes, you relax, my ears you relax, my nose, you relax, my throat, you relax, and you mentioned parts of your body down to your feet, until you are able to sleep and forget all those boring moments.

I remove my thought activity from any object that indicates more of the discomfort level. By enjoying the pleasure derived from avoiding or not experiencing more tension. By not feeding into the factors that nourish and grow tense behavior. And if successfull, a good session of deep breathing and hatha yoga to tense myself up in more positive ways. This way I remove my mind from things that show no development or evolution towards a solution. Don't allow myself to get uptight over things that I have no control over.

Read a good book, a long hot soak in the bath followed with a massage. Watch your favourite film. Meditate. Have a bottle of wine with a good friend. Go for a walk in a nice scenic area. Sleep.
