I'm 4 months along today, and I'm just now physically beginning to feel my baby bump. When I press on it lightly, I feel very, very slight pain (kind of like gas pain) and pressure down into my bladder. Otherwise, I feel fine. Is this normal? Should I be worried about the baby? Have other pregnant women experienced this?
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

(Okay this may not sound pretty, but this is what was explained to me around that time when I was pregnant...) The pain is either gas or round ligament pain. Round ligament pain was discribed to me as when your uteris begins to grow it puts pressure on your large intestine and can cause some pretty painful stomache cramps. I went through this when I was 6 months pregnant w/ my son. But if you are truly conserned please contact your Dr. and tell him/her what you are feeling and they will have a better chance of diagnosing you. Also go to Babycenter.com, register its free and look up "Abdominal Pain during Pregnancy", it's an article that will answer your ? further. Plus they e-mail you every month on what you should be going through during your pregnancy, it helped me a lot. Congrats!

It might be that when you press down, it stimulates the baby to move and he/she might be kicking or pushing a foot or hand against your bladder and cause a slight pain.

It's totally normal.

Congratulations!
